On 22 August was held the 1st General Assembly of Workers of the GDF, with the participation of employees assigned to 32 administrative units with the most diverse forms of contracting with the state-pattern, ie, attended casual workers , fees, similar to wages, basic self-generated and "trust."
This 1 st Assembly did not hesitate to acknowledge that the current administration, for its labor policies, is enemy of the workers, and that drives actions contrary to the interests of the working class and against the principles of labor jurisprudence as stability employment and equity, eliminating even historical achievements of the labor movement.
The Assembly unanimously rejected the guidelines published on July 24, 2009 in the Official Gazette of the GDF that sets the cut in staffing fee up to 30%. The Assembly also expressed against layoffs that have begun to run in different areas, requiring the prompt reinstatement of all sacked, in particular: Antulio Fernandez Maldonado (Ministry of Transport and Highways), Meda Efren Martinez (Department of Labor and Promotion of Employment), Miriam Ramírez Rico and other basic farewell (DF Housing Institute).
