For this channel, members of the Union of the Workers Union of Upper Secondary Education Institute of the Federal District (SUTIEMS), we express our strong rejection of the coup who have perpetrated the Honduran Armed Forces and ultra conservative sectors represented in the Congress and the judiciary of this nation, on Sunday June 28, 2009, against the President, José Manuel Zelaya Rosales, who was kidnapped and taken to the Republic of Costa Rica, thereby violating democratic life of the Honduran people. This cowardly and criminal action should be condemned by the international community, and reversed by the Honduran people that currently are organizing to fight against those who today stand as the new "authorities" of that country. The resistance of the Honduran people and international solidarity should serve to restore constitutional order in that nation, forcing the squatters to return to the army barracks, restoring freedom of expression and movement, and respecting the will of the people of Honduras. SUTIEMS members of our solidarity with the popular struggle undertaken by the Honduran people in defending their rights and we agree to their demand for immediate reinstatement of President Manuel Zelaya, and also support its initiative to convene a constituent assembly to draft a new Constitution and the intention to expel the U.S. military presence in their country. We can not allow again the time for military or civilian dictatorships in our continent and there are more bloodshed in our land.
